This one is made from a Schwinn Point Beach cruiser with a 50cc 2-stroke motor.
I upgraded it by swapping out all the cheap nuts, bolts, and mounting posts for class 9 hardened steel of the same items. Added an in-line fuel filter, and fabricated a small plate in the lower fuel valve.
The bike was almost-new, but I tuned it up for good measure.
My second Build, and its pretty.
It has about 1.8 HP, cruises at 20 and tops out around 25 mph. Gets around 100-150 mpg and can still be pedaled like a regular bike, which I do often. One fill-up of the half gallon tank can take you 50+ miles.
It took me a little less than a day to build it, and only a few days troubleshooting the engine until I got it purring. Another hour or two of cleaning up wires and putting on final touches, and it's done.
Putting both bikes side-by-side, I want to call them Beauty and the Beast, just because of their differences. The beach cruiser is red, sleek and gives a smooth ride without much power at low speeds... while the mountain bike is black, a bit more angular, yet stronger and slightly louder.
