Artist's Comments

This may not have been an artistic endeavor, but in the end it really feels like a work of art.

I took a Bianchi mountain bike and added a 66cc 2-stroke engine with all the usual components, such as a clutch lever, throttle twist-grip, heavy-duty drive chain, and sprocket.

I upgraded it by swapping out all the cheap nuts, bolts, and mounting posts for class 9 hardened steel of the same items. Added an in-line fuel filter, and a custom-fabricated clutch modification.
The bike was used, so I replaced the chain, tires, inner-tubes, and pedals.

My first Build, and I'm proud of it. =)

It has about 2.5 HP, cruises at 25 and tops out around 35 mph. Gets around 100-150 mpg and can still be pedaled like a regular bike, which I do often. One fill-up of the half gallon tank can take you 50+ miles.

It took me about a day to build it, and nearly a week and a half troubleshooting the engine until I got it purring.

dude I want to do this to my bike! Where did you get the engine? Is it a lawnmower engine?

I know a distributor for the engine kits. Its more like a weed-whacker though, 2-stroke.
